Yup, all this sounds pretty familiar over here too. When I got my '60 Belvedere some previous owner had given it a cheapo respray and screwed various bits of trim back in place with self tapping screws... nice. Mind you, the factory it came from can't have been that much better. When I stripped out rotting inner door panels I found the passenger one consisted of two bits of hardboard stapled together before fitting the vinyl covering ! But that's just part of the fun of old cars isn't it ? Best regards, Gavin
