No, your rear axle will not be able to handle a 440. You'll need to swap in either an E-body or B-body rear axle. You will also need to modify your engine mounts by cutting off the 6 banger mounts and welding in V8 mounts. You may also need to fab a tranny crossmember as well, depending on if you're using a cast iron Torqueflite or one of the later aluminum 727's.
