With my stock distributor, I am pretty sure the vac advance wasn't working, but the car ran well and never knocked or pinged...even under full romp. ------I just installed a new Mopar Perf distributor, and the person I got it from recurved it for more advance. Now the engine knocks under full throttle, and the advance is up to about 30-35 and initial timing is set at zero. ------I'm running the vacuum advance on timed, rather than full...and the induction is a Weiand intake with a new Carter AFB 625. The knocking only showed up after the new distributor. -------Any ideas?...please don't say "put hte old dist back in! lol
