If you ever decide you want to install an A/C system at a later time, it makes sense. If you never plan to do that, unless you live in the desert Southwest, it does not make a lot of sense. You can bump your cooling system pressure from 4psi to 12 to 14 psi for more protection. That and an overflow bottle is cheap insurance. Make sure you renew all your old hoses if you boost the pressure, though.
