In fact that's a "best of both",pushbutton shifting with the slip yoke of the '65. The '62-64 valvebodies shift directly from the '56-61 Torqueflite dash shifter cable. If you wanted a driveshaft parking brake,you will have to find the tailshaft section from a 1962 (only) Chrysler/Dodge Custom 880 transmission and bolt this to the '65 tranny.
