I was asked if the tailshaft from the 1962 B-727 transmission could be swapped onto the '62-'64 A-727. Yes,it can! For those who haven't read my previous posts, the 1962 (only) B-727 used in Chryslers and Dodge Custom 880's has a driveshaft parking brake like the '56-61 Torqueflites. So swapping the tailshaft from this transmission onto the A-engine 727 would allow a driveshaft parking brake setup with a '62-up A-LA engine (318 poly,318 LA,340-360 LA,even stroker versions of the poly and LA),and pushbutton shifting with the '56-61 Torqueflite dash pushbuttons.
