The kit's brakes fit the original drum brake spindles directly. The drum brakes could even be reinstalled. The kit uses shallow GM calipers on the 11" Mopar rotors to allow the original 14" wheels to be used. (Using Mopar calipers would require 15" wheels, or 14" wheels made to clear large disc brake calipers) All wear parts (rotors calipers,etc.) are readily available through any full line retail auto parts store. The front suspension of the car is not affected in any way by the installation and the car will not have to be realigned.
