We're the people trying to SAVE old cars,not destroy them! Ted sure has a good point about in that sometimes (not always though) useful transportation for low-income persons is also being destroyed.
The only reason why I ever saw derbies as a youngster is that almost all the circle-track events back then had a derby before or after the race. (My parents were big circle-track fans) I am certainly glad that it's been more than 20 years since I've seen a derby at a circle-track event. The derbies now seem to be paired with monster truck events,and 'monster trucks' did not exist when I was a youngster.
