i have a 68 charger that i restored.and i have had a brake light tail light problem for 4 years.ive messed with it off and on ever since the car was fiished,trying to figure out what was wrong with it(it had a very similar problem)and after having several good mechanic freinds look at it no one could figure it out. so at mopar nationals this year i bought an nos turn signal switch(because i was told that the brake lights also run through the turn signal switch)and with great doubt that this was the problem i took it home and installed and after 4 years of pulling my hair out it actually worked. so i think i would highly consider trying that.
