Hi! I just bought a 8 3/4 rear axle (from 69 Polara) to replace my 59 Plymouths rear. I bought it with out the third member because someone told me that the third member from the original 59 rear would fit. Is this really true? And how can I tell if the original rear axle in my car is a 8 1/4 or 8 3/4? The 57-58 Plymouth manual tells me that the 8 1/4 was used with 6-cyl. engines and 8 3/4 with v8 engines. On the outside they both seem to loók the same...
