I had that problem on my 59 new yorker. I was told that when you turn the drums, you should add to the pads what you take off of the drums. If you take off .040 of the drums try to add .040 to the pads if you are going to get them relined. I have not tried this yet, but an old timer who told me has had his shop since 56 and said it would work. gool luck
