There are two adjusters on each drum. They look like bolts, so you will have to feel around for them. Turn the bolts untill the shoes touch the drum and back them off about 1/8th turn so they don't drag. The front adjusters turn the same rotation as the wheel, and the rear adjusters turn differently. The front adjuster on the rear turns the same way as the wheel, while the rear adjuster turns the opposite. These brakes do not self adjust. VW's aren't real cars, so I wouldn't know how they adjust brakes.
