Brian I'll share a few parking brake problems that bothered my 58.Never set the brake when the car is moving.Don't leave the brake set for long periods of time(during the winter storage like I did!)Remove the drum to be sure the mechanism is clean.Refer to the maintenance manual for the proper procedures disassembling, assembling and adjusting everything and most important of all, carry a wheel chock with you at all times!Good luck.
