I had a parts guy at our local Checker store tell me the same thing, "not available". Recently I was in another city and checked with that Checker store and the lady manager put the part # K21 in her computer and replied "$11.95, can have it for you tomorrow". I installed it in my 59 Sport Fury and it leaked out 2 quarts of oil on my garage floor. I removed the adapter and found the large gasket you get with it was just a little bit larger than the gasket you get with the cartridge filter so I installed the cartridge filter gasket and every so often I still have a few drops of oil on floor but nothing major. That spin on filter sure is nice though. Next time I go to Checker I will "check" on adapter again since I am going to install one on my 4-door also.
