If we can trust the Franklin Mint model, it shows the coil with the terminal facing the passenger fender, and mounted about parallel with the front edge of the rear air cleaner. The side of the coil is in line with the forward edge air cleaner and the terminal is about flush with the passenger side of the air cleaner.
