To respond to your question about power steering, I converted my '58 Coronet to P/S by locating a parts car and using the components from it. I believe this would be your best approach. The steering column must be changed, but the conversion is really straight forward, as the whole power unit is within the steering column. At the Mopar Nationals last year, there was a vendor who specialized in power steering. I questioned him about the old coaxial (pre-58)and constant control(58-up) and he said they have done several rebuilds of both types.
