No. 1957-61 318's use a different crankshaft flange than 1962-up 318's. The '61-earlier has an eight-bolt flange,the '62 a six-bolt flange. The eight bolt flange also protrudes 3/4" farther from the block than the six-bolt flange.
The '62-up crank will fit in the 57-61 engines. If you changed the crankshaft to the '62-up (or swap in a '62-up 318 engine),then you could use the '69 transmission.
