Thought a brief rundown of engine families and sizes might make for interesting discussion. If I am wrong on any of this feel free to correct me! Plymouth: The first Plymouth V8 was actually a Dodge 270. Late in '55 Plymouth released its own engine design, 277 cu. in., used thru '57. 303 used in 56 Fury only. 301 available in 57 only. 318 available in 57 on Fury, 58-on in all models. '58 new B-block available, 350 for 58-only, 361 58-on. No Forward Look era Plymouth ever came from the factory with a hemi-head engine.
