I'd stick with what you got. At least you know what the problems it has. IF it has been rebuilt several times why? by who? and how many years/months apart? I had a guy rebuild my carb when I redid my engine. I had more problems with it afterwards than I did before. I had to end up rebuilding it myself even though he charged me $100 no warranty. I know that the Holley carbs are hard to tune to get equal (for dual quad). The AFB also have some problems. Try afor WCFB carb/s. I've had good luck with mine.
