Kenny...Glad its working out. It is AMAZING what a little modern tech can do for some of these old engines. I firmly believe that the basics were done correctly, but since the tech was a little primitive, we suffer from it. Good high energy ignition systems, modern clutch materials, better oils/lubricants, better gaskets and the old stuff becomes quite reliable compared to its original expectations. I bet you could EFI that L-head and get even better performance (up to the limitations of that 4-main crank). I will enjoy hearing about how the poly comes out when you finish it.
