if you can find one install a hi performance valve body and accumulator spring. my original (60 383 golden commando) torqueflite shifted fine with 1-2 tire chirp, but it went south last year (after 270k miles) and i had to install a 61 imperial flite which shifts way too smooth. i'm going to switch valve bodys and the accumulator springs.
