I have a 66 new yorker that dumps , turned down, rigt at the axle. This does have less bends in the exhaust and therefore better flow if thats what you are after. One thing that it does is bounce the noise off the ground and reverberates the entire car. Very rumbly at low rmp and slow speed but goes away at freeway speed. Great for setting off car alarms 2 levels up in parking structures :) My 440 has a VERY low rumble, but is not overly loud or obnoxious. If the deep rumble inside of the car at slow speed would bother you send it out the back.
