I wouldn't think you were trying to be rude. The reasons are(and you can feel free to disagree with any of them): -I've spoken with a gentleman who actually performed this swap using a 78 Volare and a 56 Plymouth and he said the resulting ride, handling and stance was far better than original. -It's much easier to find parts for a later model front end/brake/steering/motor/rear end/ etc. than it is to find them for our Forward look cars, and when you are able to find them the later model parts tend to be much cheaper. -The ride, handling and technology in our Forward Look cars was state of the art in the late 50's and early 60's, but Ma Mopar made alot of improvements in these areas over the years(wish I could say the same for styling...) and while emissions and fuel economy might have ended the horsepower races of the 50's and 60's the safety and handling of later model cars tends to be much better. I may not actually go through with this swap, but I do want to research it and weigh the pros and cons so that I can make an informed decision. Asking about the swap on this forum is the absolute best place I could think of to ask this question in the hopes that people would present facts I could use to base my decision on. And if I do decide to do it, hopefully some helpful hints as to how to best go about it.
