What kind of car?I've had lots of 727's and the only difference was the bellhousing.They made 727's for big blocks and small blocks.A small block can have a 727 or a 904,the difference being the center of the trans being larger on the 727 which won't fit in early A bodies(60-66)without bending the tunnel.A big block will only take a 727.It costs about a hundred and fifty dollars to rebuild it yourself.Should be able to trade for the right size transmission.
