Thanks for the helpful replies. I guess that's unanimous for the solid lifters. (and I won't forget those hardened seats...thanks). Stupid question: in adjusting them warm, as the manual says, how can a person reduce the general spraying around of oil that seems likely to occur? A friend tells me he knew a guy who used special small caps that he placed over the oilways on the rocker assembly and that made it a clean job? Am I trying to solve a problem here that doesn't exist?
