Let's look at this! Was any tinkering done on the trans recently ? There are a few things to look at. Consult you're Shop Manual. The trans linkage,especially on the push button units must be adjusted properly,if not,you can get what you're experiencing. If all is ok,then the valve-body could be culprit. Bad gaskets,stuck spool valves,weak valve body springs,warpage. All those can cause you're problem too. Check you're trans fluid condition and make sure it's not burnt. If it is,then you'll want to rebuild the unit. Good Luck!
