I'm glad to see the styling department looking at retro ideas, but they sure picked a bunch of bad ones with the Super 8. That GM windshield and roofline is a little more than I could tolerate. Too many design concepts in one package...it's too busy! Retro design is great, but that hodge-podge-Dodge is not going to appear on any classic styling list!
If they want retro, they should look to any one of Virgil Exner's designs...or Raymond Loewy.
