Well,I really can't say that a GOOD convertible conversion COULDN'T be done (you know,where the top will actually reliably go up and down,not leak like a sieve,and will look somewhat like a factory top when raised!) Hey,with enough money and skilled labor (and the MONEY would be easier to get in that case!),ANYTHING is possible!
I hate to say it,but $20K and eight months plus sounds about right for a truly 'good' convertible conversion. Restoring a real conv. even if the floors are rotted out suddenly looks pretty good! (It's not cheap to do new floors RIGHT,but next to this proposed conversion,it ends up looking good)
