Dear Steve, Search the archives section of this web-site. There has been many questions similiar to yours listed. Correspondingly, there has been a lot of information addressing that paticular concern. As far as the second part of your question, do you want to change the rear axle on your car? Or do you want to convert the rear brakes also to disk? If I were you , I'd leave the rear end the way it is. I own a 1957 Chrysler product and those rears are pretty tough! But again, thats my opinion. Good luck!
