No, the Desoto and Dodge 383 engines for 1959 were all "B" series only. Chrysler/Imperial had a 383 and a 413 in 1959 that were different, perhaps "RB" series--I am not real familiar with them, even though I have had a few. So your car should have a "B" series unless someone changed it out with a Chrysler engine. I do know that the intake manifolds will not interchange between a "B" and "RB engines.
