Either should work. When PS was first used, the fluid was common with ATF. ATF has more detergent additive, and so foams a bit more when aeriated. PS fluid is lacking some of this detergent, as well as the red ATF dye. If you want to look accurate, use the Dextron III. It has a higher pressure-viscosity rating than the old "A" fluid, which is also advantageous.
