Thanks all.i appreciate all the helpful comments. wanted to clear up something i wasn't too clear about in my post. i'm not the one who replaced the gas cap with the non venting type, the old owner did when he lost it filling up somewhere in S. Utah. OOPS! Thanks guys. Jason
