Tim Yes the timing should be checked on these cars as the points wear and when they are replaced. New points have a longer rubber block than the old ones. With a longer rubber the points they will open at a differnet time and therefore the timing will be off. Another item. Did you put a small amount of heavy grease on the rubber block to lube it? Dan
