I am considering a whole rear swap in order to put later model SELF ADJUSTING drum brakes on. I have not heard of a way to do that with the tapered axle setup. That way, I can use drums that are still available, and have them lathe-turned to my heart's content without fear of no replacements. Heck, I might even buy up 3 or 4 sets of 70's drums to make sure I have enough to last me the next 20 years or so. :-) Regards, Lou
