I have already checked the plugs, they are fouled with carbon deposit. What do you think could means? I have the shop manual for the car, but before starting to check what could be faulty I want to change the sparkplugs that have discovered haven't been changed in the last 3 years (I have to wait to have them shipped from the US, I can't find the right ones in the UK) and the oil that is really dirty. The possible causes for me are: -choke (as Dan says) -Thermostat (as you say) -manifold heat control valve on the exaust that send back hot gases to warm the mixture. Another thing I can think of is that the previous owner has deleted the heater valve (is now always fully open) and I wander if this can delay the warm-up of the engine in cold days. Let me know what you think!
