unless chris neilson gave you any specifics on other changes your stock valve train will work well with new cam---the only change you may want do is valve springs and keepers---the keepers will be changed on a head rebuild anyway---the springs are your choice---i kept mine---my cam specs. are 264/264 duration.440/440 lift for my 318 poly---your oil pump is good they way it is---45-65lbs. max @ 50 mph.---dist.drive will work with newer la. dist.---i am probably one of the few people on the face of the earth that likes points---so i have gone with a dual point dist. for a 1969 340---two things i would have done in retrospect are bigger valves and performance pistons---hope i helped---later---chuck lowe
