Ray, the three digit numbers referred to above are the last three digits of the casting number on the pinion housing. When I emailed you I mentioned checking the first two digits, just don't want to confuse the issue. Once you know what housing you have then you can search for the gears, and you might still be able to find gears through Chrysler dealers. When you determine your housing number, please post it and one of us with a 1959 parts book can look up the part numbers for lower gears for you. Some of the '59's had smaller pinion diameters, 1-3/8", but they are strong enough for your engine, although they will be the most difficult to find today.
