Right off the bat, I readily admit I know very little about engines. That said, it is at all possible that you are mixed up about which one is the #1 cylinder? I have done that So-o=o many times thru the years. I can never remember if it is "as viewed from the front of the car" or "as viewed from the driver's seat"
