My recollection of this discussion was that there was no general agreement on what to use. You might want to seek the advice of a rebuilder that knows these units. Since you're not filling a fresh rebuild, the best thing may be to stay with what was in it. Also, if your tranny is already "sickly" don't expect too much from a fluid change. Bernbaum lists pan gaskets. Be careful trying to get cheap and quality at the same time. An old gasket may be too brittle to seal properly. Buy new stock. Good luck.
