There was never a "delay" feature in the 55/56 DeSotos. However, there WAS a variable speed setup, which can make the wipers real slow. As for converting, easiest is to find a 1956 Chrysler/DeSoto/Dodge/Plymouth motor setup and swap the motor out. For a delay setup from there, there are kits (JC Whatnot has them) that can add the delay feature onto the motor from there.
