You've raised an interesting point, Neil. I tried to imagine the reason for high gearing with limited slip. All I could come up with is somebody living in a remote section of Montana, Idaho, Nevada, Alaska, northern Utah, etc,, where there are long, lonely stretches of highway. Places where one could cruise at 75 mph for a couple of hours, but still need that posi for muddy or snowy side roads during wet or winter weather. Well, it may be a wrong or poor guess, but that's all I can imagine.
