Converting a 2dr. hardtop to a convertible isn't that difficult and is certainly less expensive than repairing a badly rusted convertible. In order to get the best results for this project I would seek out the most qualified body shop or preferrably a coachbuilder that has tackled this kind of project before and check their customer satisfaction ratings before contracting out the conversion.
