I own a 1956 Coronet. The engine runs seamlessly, but the transmission is dead. I found a parts coronet with its tranny in the trunk. The owner states that the tranny is good, but no one can verify that... for the right price.. Ill take that risk..... For the purpose of Identifying and confirming what it is.. What markings, ID stamps, etc do I look for to identify a 1956 V8 poly Coronet automatic transmission? Thank you... Again.. You guys are heavensent!!
