By all means, if one is looking not for just a typical restoration, but a real performance enhancement, this is one way to go! The American Corvette has been using fiberglas spings for several years, and as far as I know, there seems to be no issues with these springs that are exceptional over steel units. The real ultimate might be carbon-fiber units, if anyone makes them. Formula cars have used these sucessfully for the high rates they need with the low weight.
