IF the wires look good there is no safety problem. i never had any trouble with my cars (60 fury/61 desoto/60 desoto) COUNTLESS miles since 1988. the new wires which were added for a emergency flasher and tape player look already bad, the originals still look like new. keep the original good quality wires! keep it ORIGINAL!
