I'm sure that's what happened. My fault-when I parked it oh, about 18 years ago I didn't drain the block. I'll check to see if it is salvagable monday when I drop off the 301 at the machine shop. And YES, I'd love to see info on adding a trans cooler to the powerflite. I understand these old transmissions are pretty bullet proof but extra insurance certainly can't hurt.
