The block casting number and the ID prefix indicate this engine IS a 1957 Dodge (or DeSoto Firesweep) engine. 325CID displacement, and should be a poly-headed engine. Could have either 2bbl or 4bbl, although the latter is more rare. Most likely your car had a swap sometime along the way. If you really wish to pursue what the original engine number was for your vehicle, you can contact DaimlerChrysler Historical, and with the vehicle ID number, thay can pull your build sheet and give you most if not all the numbers (and options) on your car, and where it was built, when, and to which dealership it was sent.
