I personally see nothing wrong with updating the drivetrain, however, you can achieve the same goals by installing a MoPar crate engine. And you won't be shunned by 90% of the MoPar crowd. The forward look MoPars aren't exactly light, so I would be thinking big block. Also, do the next owner a favor and keep all the original parts.
