How do you ID a 1957 301 Poly V/8 from a 1957 318 Poly V/8 ?? What # on the motor says its a 301 or a 318 ?????? This engine is in a loaded 57 Savoy and has a 2-bbl carb. how do I tell if it's the base 301 2-bbl engine or the optional 318 2- bbl engine? How do you tell them apart externally??
