Hey Tim, Send $35 (last time I checked) to Chrysler Historical Collection, CIMS 410-11-21, 12501 Chrysler Freeway; Detroit, MI 48288. Include your VIN. They'll send you back a copy of the build sheet and a description of what options your car originally came with, when it was sold, what dealer it was sold at, and what assembly plant it came from. They'll also have the original engine number on the build sheet. As to finding out the history of the motor, they won't be able to do it, as they search for VINs, not engine numbers. Hope this helps.
